Manufacturing of Line Pipes

Brentex's major business goal is to "manufacture 16" to 60" diameter LSAW pipes" for the Oil and Gas Industry. To that end, we have made significant progress in establishing a Pipe Mill in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

After completion, the factory would have a capacity of 300,000 MT per year and would use API 5L materials up to grade X 80 or equivalent. The first of its sort in Sub-Saharan Africa and the second in the whole continent. The Pipe Mill site is about 300 meters from the Calabar Sea Port, making logistics to destinations in Nigeria and globally more realistic.

Approximately 65% of the Mill Production Line Equipment has been bought and stored at the plant site, and factory building work has progressed to an advanced stage.

Brentex expects to gain a significant comparative advantage with the establishment of the Pipe Mill by being able to:
· supply essential oil and gas pipe needs in the shortest possible time.
· Produce of a wide range of pipe products that are currently unavailable locally and for which there is a readily available market; the potential of selling most of its output locally to oil producing companies, LNG producers, the NNPC, and other operators.
· The potentials of selling most of its output locally to oil producing companies, Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) producers, the NNPC and other operators.
· Prospect of cost reductions and control through forward integration and import substitution.
· Ensured decrease of Nigeria's foreign exchange requirements and promotion of the Federal Government's local content initiative.
· Significant contribution to the economy through employment, wealth generation, and skill acquisition.
